Mendel WinesMendel wines classically combine Roberto de la Mota’s prestigious winemaking skills and tremendously old vineyards to make Mendoza’s most elegant wines. Proprietor and long-time wine lover, Anabelle Sielecki, partnered with Roberto to transform her family’s historic 1928 vineyard into the respected estate it is today. She honors her father, a hardworking immigrant and successful businessman, by putting his first name, Mendel, on the label.

Mendel Semillon Mendel Wines
Mendel Semillon is the maximum expression of this old white grapevine in a still wine. It presents marked varietal notes such as white flowers and honey, as well as some herbaceous and tropical fruit notes that give it complexity. Its passage through oak provides it with scents of coconut, soft smokes, and great volume and smoothness in the mouth. It is a complex, elegant, and very pleasant wine to drink.

Mendel Wines Mendel Mendel Unus
Mendel Unus is the perfect combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The Cabernet Sauvignon, with its well-present and ripe tannins, is part of the wine's structure, and the Malbec contributes by giving it complexity, unctuosity, and body. The resulting wine is very complex, intense, full-bodied, but especially elegant and balanced. Color: Dark intense red, purple at the rim. Nose: Complex and multi-layered. Before being swirled, the wine exhibits fresh fruit notes like black cherries, plums, blackberries and cassis. Once swirled, it displays spices such as pink peppercorn, cedarwood, chocolate notes, vanilla and blond tobacco. Mouth: It is a harmonious and mouth-filling wine which feels meaty and unctuous, with refined and round tannins. The Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend contributes tannic structure and a spicy core while the Malbec offers unctuousness, roundness and fruit and the Petit Verdot, body and licorice. The aromatic complexity on the nose echoes on the palate and makes it incredibly long. The acidity in this elegant wine ensures freshness and great cellaring capacity.
