San Pedro Grandes Vinos

San Pedro Grandes Vinos Altair Blend
One of the brightest stars in the sky is Altair. Inspired by the stars, we decided to plant our vines in the Cachapoal Andes Valley, a site whose terroir was created by ancient volcanic eruptions and violent earthquakes dating back millions of years. Our star is not up in the skies its here at the base of the Andes, deeply rooted in this ancient soil. Altair, the star of the Andes.

San Pedro Grandes Vinos Kankana del Elqui Syrah
This iconic wine from Vina San Pedro honours the Kankana hill in the coastal part of the Elqui Valley, which is currently considered to be the northern frontier for Chilean wine production. The story goes that Kankana radiates a special energy that is attuned with the clearest skies on Earth. This privileged environment makes it possible to produce an unrivalled Syrah. Kankana del Elqui has a deep red-violet coloring. The nose is elegant, with mineral notes such as graphite, as well as white pepper, charcuterie and black olive aromas. Refined in mouth with a marked acidity, this wine is juicy with silky tannins. A wine to be enjoyed immediately or aged for up to 15 years.

San Pedro Grandes Vinos Cabo de Hornos Cabernet Sauvignon
A very pretty and refined wine with sweet tobacco and ripe currant. Hits of stones. Medium to full body, fine tannins. Lovely finish. Delicious. Drink or hold. James Suckling, 2017. This is very balanced, extremely young and fruit-driven. This has the Cachapoal brightness and light, still somehow covered by the baby fat that needs to be rendered by time in bottle. I should taste 20 years of wines like this to understand where they are coming from and where they will go. Thanks to the San Pedro team, I have understood this wine forever Luis Gutierrez , 2017

San Pedro Grandes Vinos Tierras Moradas Carmenere
Tierras Moradas expresses the perfect terroir for our iconic Carmenere. On an almost forgotten hill in the Maule Valley, an unsettling, unique and beautiful plot of purple land was discovered. This land is so dark, it absorbs the sun's rays, perpetuating the heat of the daytime. This, together with the coolness of dawn, means the grapes ripen perfectly. Its name is inspired by the purple colour of the soil (tierra morada means purple land in Spanish) where this Carmenere is planted in our Pencahue vineyard.

San Pedro Grandes Vinos Sideral Blend
Behind every constellation, a perfect balance emerges, its magnitude only fully appreciated in exceptional conditions such as those offered by the Chilean skies. Sideral, from the Latin word sideralis, meaning constellation, embodies the perfect harmony of each grape and their flawless combination into a blend of exceptional quality. Sideral is the perfect synergy in a constellation of exceptional taste.
